Welcome to The Reptile Jungle! We have a life long passion for turtles and tortoises. We have many different species of aquatic turtles that we are raising in hopes to breed one day here. All available offspring are bred right here at TRJ. We have below some of the species we are offering to the public. Razorback Musk Turtle, Sternotherus carinatus
Razorback musk turtle, native to South Central USA. A beautiful turtle species known for its domed shell with razor edge appearance. They stay relatively small reaching 5-7 inches. The males have a larger head & longer tail then females. The male tails have a tail tip that has a "hook" appearance. They hatch out of the egg around 1 inch and reach full size at 4-6 years old. They have a strong appetite for earth worms and smelts. They love to bask on logs.

Pink Belly Side neck Turtle, Emydura subglobosa
Pink Belly Sideneck turtle, native to Australlia and New Guinea. A beautiful turtle species known for bright pink/orange hue belly. They are highly aquatic & a very shy species. They enjoy to bask in quiet environments. Once accustomed to you, they will each right from your hands with repetition. They are a larger species. Males reaching 5-6 inches and females reaching 10+ inches. They hatch out at around 1 inch shell length reaching full size around 10 years old.

Mississippi Map Turtles, Graptemys pseudogeographica
Mississippi map turtles are native to Central USA, primarily in the Mississippi River. There are many subspecies of Map turtles. Females and males are both different sizes. Females get much larger and reach 6-10+ inches in size while males only reach a maximum of 5 inches. They hatch out of the egg at roughly 1 inch and reach full size between 6-10 years old, growing roughly one inch per year.
